Dear Mrs. Wasserman,
I am writing to you on behalf of the members of the American Academy of Periodontology to express our deep sympathy on the passing of your husband Bernard. He was an excellent periodontist, whose skills were very much appreciated by his colleagues. His memory will continue because of his dedication and service to us and his patients. Additionally, he was was a mentor to young periodontist, always available to answer their questions and encourage them. He will be missed!
I hope it is of some small comfort to know that our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. A contribution to the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation will be made in Bernard’s memory. The contribution will be recognized on the Academy’s Web site (www.perio.org) and will be announced in the 2007 Annual Report.
